Liz Bates

Liz is a Certified Travel Specialist who has been providing luxury travel consulting to discerning travelers for more than 20 years.  Liz personally designs all travel arrangements through a fun collaborative process with each traveler.  She encourages each traveler to communicate what is "within" themselves and what they wish to experience, which then allows her to paint the perfect individualized journey.

Prior to officially making the travel industry her career, Liz's passion for travel began early in life - she spent most of her childhood and young adult years traveling the globe to exotic destinations with her parents.  She has traveled extensively and has lived throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas.  Through these experiences, Liz acquired the expert knowledge and delicate understanding of foreign customs & diverse cultures.  She has held many creative roles within her travel career - from working behind the scenes as a Director of Independent Nature Travel for a natural-history/adventure travel company where she developed and marketed personal customizable programs for the Nature Conservancy, the World Wildlife Foundation and National Geographic; to spear-heading the marketing and implementation of high-tech travel trade shows within a prominent Silicon Valley, CA company during her employment with American Express Travel. 

Apart from traveling, Liz is also passionate about her Greek heritage, archaeology, sailing, hiking, scuba diving, orchids and cooking.  She is married to an adventurous husband who shares her passions in life, and together they've traveled the world for 26 years (and counting).....
